Peadar is a cube

Playing pairs with number and picture cards to reinforce number recognition.

The children were completing lots of number work within 10! They enjoyed playing a game with their partner in which one child closed their eyes and another child took 1 or 2 numbers away from the numberline. When their partner opened their eyes they had to say which numbers were missing! The person with the most points at the end was the winner.

We were using 3D shapes to build different models. We used cubes, cuboids, cones, cyclinders, spheres and pyramids to build individual models. The children made houses, robots and spaceships to name a few!
