Welcome to Year 5!

We will be filling this page with exciting class news and pictures. We are excited to share with you how hard the children are working. 

We have had such a FUN couple of weeks, as we got to go on a school trip to the Aviation Sociey. The highlight of the trip was getting to see a replicate flying machine that Harry Ferguson had invented. We produced some amazing artwork for the spring display board; we are creative learners! We used our ICT skills to create spring comic strip stories, using all five senses. 

This summer term we will be learning about Ancient Egypt; as we explore inside The Great Pyramids of Giza, and mummify some tomatoes. We will be reading our class novel, James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. We will continue to work hard in maths and use IZAK 9 to problem solve, as we work with others in the classroom, using our thinking skills.

It is important that the boys and girls continue to complete their homework every night!
